As a child, Juju’s parents took turns making up bedtime stories and songs. Those moments were filled with delight, but more importantly it was time spent with her siblings and parents. Many of the stories she writes about are extensions of her parent’s wild and made up stories, travels and misadventures. Juju admits she has always enjoyed reading, anything from classics to comic books. Her favorites were mysteries and romances.
As a young woman, Julie was known for her wit, sarcasm and storytelling. She began to embellish the characters and plots and always had a broad range of stories to tell across the age spectrum. Her Juju short story series focus on the development of safety, self and service for young minds. Her first book “Melissa Moo Moo” has three follow on stories for younger children ages 4-8.
The next set of stories coming out in 2020 are for adventurous minds under the titles “Boomer and Echo” with an added glossary and fact sheet. This highly recommended series were written like a MacGyer like experience for those interested in testing the elements. These address the ages 6-10.
The audio versions of her other short stories for bed time are not for the faint of heart. Very suspenseful and will have you gathering your covers and sleeping with the light on. See “The Costly Wish”, “The Moss” or “Strawberry Fields forever”. These are best suited for ages 10 and older. Please enjoy.
