Short and simple here's my favorites:Edgar Allan Poe, Agatha Christie,Somerset Maugham, Victoria Holt books written by Eleanor Hibbert, EB Webb, and O'Henry series. The genres differ, which is what I liked. It was enough to keep me reading and growing in literature. Honestly, I have to admit, I read tons of comic books too- yes, I was the geek. Sitting for hours on the floor at the local drug store in the town where I grew up, my brother and I would delve into a stack. The business didn't seem to mind, as long as we bought at least one by the time we left. Which we did. My mother opened a revolving account to keep up and gave us a limit. So, that actually led to trading with other geeks. There's a whole network of us! I will say, at the time, it was unusual for a girl to be so into comics- but I think that has changed. I hope it has.

My second book was picked up by Austin Macauley out of New York. A bit surprised, as the story weaves three main characters- who I did let live. I have been known in a

lot of my stories to kill off some characters. There was this show that came out several years ago, many of you may have seen it---GOT? I loved it! My children and spouse on the other hand thought.."OMG, they killed them too!" I kind of like that the plots were so good and people weren't always going to come out on top. My adult book/young adult book is like that. Don't get comfortable, and for goodness sakes, don't read them at night alone.
